Volleyball Recap: Elk River Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elk River can now relate to. They came up short against the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Elks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

While Elk River was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.

Elk River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Elk River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they will face off against St. Michael-Albertville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
