Olentangy extends road winning streak to four

Recap: Olentangy Braves vs. Marysville Monarchs

The Olentangy Braves put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They escaped with a win against Marysville by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. That's another feather in the cap for Olentangy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Olentangy found their leader in underclassman Sydney Mobley, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Mobley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kate Mosher, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Olentangy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Marysville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olentangy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Olentangy Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Olentangy Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Marysville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hilliard Darby at 7:30 p.m. Hilliard Darby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Marysville is ranked fifth).
