Clinton posted their closest victory since October 22, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Maquoketa Cardinals 2-1. This was payback for the River Kings, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Maquoketa, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clinton is set to square off against their familiar foe Davenport North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maquoketa will face off against rival Anamosa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
