Basketball Game Preview: Kaneland Knights vs. Naperville Central Redhawks

The Kaneland Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kaneland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.

Last Saturday, Kaneland strolled past Taylorville with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 56-52 to Lockport. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naperville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Kaneland, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.

Kaneland skirted past Naperville Central 74-72 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kaneland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
