Evansville North has gone 6-1 against Vincennes Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Huskies will face off against the Alices at 5:00 p.m. Vincennes Lincoln took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Evansville North, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Evansville North made easy work of Evansville Harrison and carried off a 7-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Adleigh Whitler looked comfortable as she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ripley Anderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Kaylee Nisbeth also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Vincennes Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Jasper. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Alices have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Vincennes Lincoln saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Archer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Evansville North's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Evansville North hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Vincennes Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Evansville North took their victory against Vincennes Lincoln when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Alices have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
