Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Granby Comets and fell 68-32. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Bookers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Comets are ranked 133rd).

Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Granby, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will take on Norcom at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granby, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Atlantic Shores Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Atlantic Shores Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Granby likes a good challenge.
