Baseball Preview: Andrews Wildcats vs. Hiwassee Dam Eagles
For the second straight game, Andrews will face off against Hiwassee Dam. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Andrews has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Andrews took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hiwassee Dam, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats came out on top against the Eagles on Tuesday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 28, 2021.
Logan Hyde was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
