Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial lost against Putnam on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingsmen. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Anundi- Boland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gwenavieve Bojorquez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Putnam, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Centennial will face off against North Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Putnam, they will square off against Parkrose at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Kingsmen are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
