Baseball Recap: Briggsdale Comes Up Short

Briggsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Caliche Buffaloes, falling 19-1. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 18-8 to the Buffaloes when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Briggsdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Caliche, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Coming up, Briggsdale will venture away from home to square off against Weldon Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caliche, they will host Highland at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buffaloes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
