Baseball Game Preview: King Vikings vs. Brunswick School Bruins

King hasn't had much luck against Brunswick School recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Bruins at 4:30 p.m.

King is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They fell 8-3 to St. Luke's.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brunswick School). They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Hopkins on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their one-run performance the match before.

Johnny Gally looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Brunswick School is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Michael Marini was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Those runs were his first of the season. Wim Nook was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Brunswick School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win got Brunswick School back to even at 4-4. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
