Basketball Recap: Sickles Takes a Loss

Sickles lost against Plant last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sickles Gryphons took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plant Panthers. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Sickles still got an impressive performance from Eddy Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chase Weismiller, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Sickles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Plant, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Sickles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 91-51 win against Robinson on the 10th. As for Plant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-45 victory against Sumner on the 8th.
