Soccer Game Preview: Trinity vs. Southlake Carroll

Trinity is 0-8 against Southlake Carroll since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trinity Trojans will take on the Southlake Carroll Dragons at 6:30 p.m.

Trinity is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Poteet on Friday. Neither Trinity nor Poteet could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Tigers. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Southlake Carroll's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. With that draw, Trinity's record moves to 1-0-1.

Trinity suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Southlake Carroll in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
