Baseball Recap: Clear Lake Drops Season-High Score on Webster

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Lake). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Webster Tigers a 16-0 shutout on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Clear Lake pushed their record up to 3-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Webster, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Clear Lake has already played their next matchup (against New Auburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Webster, they will square off against Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
