Softball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

While it was Westlake who put the first points on the board on Saturday, it was Hicks who put up more. The Westlake Rams lost 16-1 to the Hicks Pirates. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hicks, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Westlake will challenge Midland at 11:00 p.m. on Monday. Westlake has given up an average of 14.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hicks, they are taking a road trip to face off against Stanley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
