Illinois Valley Central barely beat Princeton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grey Ghosts never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The Grey Ghosts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Grant Bramer's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffen Landsverk, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Yates, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Illinois Valley Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matches.

Illinois Valley Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Princeton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12-1.

The Tigers are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
