Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy Titans vs. Peyton Panthers
The Classical Academy easily dispatched Sierra last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Classical Academy Titans fell just short of the Peyton Panthers by a score of 63-61 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since November 27, 2023.

Despite the loss, The Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Ky Walker, who went 8-for-16 en route to 20 points along with six steals and five boards. Walker's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Michael Perry was another key player, going 6-for-8 to rack up 21 points along with five assists and three steals.
The Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Peyton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
The Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-59 loss against Pueblo South on the 20th. As for Peyton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-52 win against Evangel Christian Academy on the 20th.
