Basketball Recap: Haynesville Starts off Right with Win over Lakeside

Haynesville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-29 victory over the Lakeside Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Tornado, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lakeside dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Haynesville will take on North Webster in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Minden at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
