Basketball Recap: Kirkwood Cobras vs. Springfield Yellow Jackets
Springfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Kirkwood proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 41-35 victory over the Springfield Yellow Jackets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 39-37 victory back in February.
Kirkwood found their leader in freshman Mya Brooks, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Andrews, who put up ten points.
Springfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Taleah Patterson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played.
