Baseball Recap: Foreman Comes Up Short

Dierks hit Foreman with a six-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Gator Arkansas lost 13-5 to the Outlaws. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Outlaws this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Brody Bearden and Kane Davis did some serious damage despite the final result: Bearden went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Davis got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Foreman has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Dierks, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foreman will head out to face off against Mountain Pine at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dierks, they will take on Mena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
