Recap: Granite Hills Eagles vs. San Ysidro Cougars

The Granite Hills Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past San Ysidro 81-30 at home. That 81-30 margin sets a new team best for Granite Hills this season.

Granite Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert Petrich led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 18 points, ten rebounds, and 13 steals. The matchup was Petrich's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Zander was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Granite Hills' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for San Ysidro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Granite Hills will be home for the holidays to greet Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Patrick Henry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday. San Ysidro will take on Southwest SD in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at. Southwest SD is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
