Volleyball Game Preview: Lafayette Commodores vs. Sumrall Bobcats

The Lafayette Commodores will challenge the Sumrall Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lafayette comes in on four and Sumrall on 13.

Lafayette is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Caledonia 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Lafayette might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Caledonia scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Sumrall posted their closest win since September 6th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Purvis 3-2.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 16-19. As for Sumrall, their victory bumped their record up to 27-5.
