Preview: Morningside Monarchs vs. Beverly Hills Normans
Morningside is 0-6 against Beverly Hills since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Morningside Monarchs will be playing at home against the Beverly Hills Normans at 5:00 p.m. Morningside has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Morningside, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to Hawthorne.
Beverly Hills posted their biggest victory since January 8th on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 83-42 win over Hawthorne. Given Beverly Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Hawthorne is ranked 1035th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Morningside's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Beverly Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.
