Soccer Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

If Trinity was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Southern Guilford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Leadership Academy Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Leadership Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

Trinity has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season. As for Leadership Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will square off against Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity will be up against Southern Guilford's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Leadership Academy, they will welcome East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
