Basketball Recap: Aubrey Felker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Whiteland over Columbus East

Whiteland lost against Columbus East back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell 57-49 to the Olympians. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Olympians 15-9 in the first quarter.

Whiteland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aubrey Felker, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Adriane Gieseking, who scored 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Whiteland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Columbus East, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Whiteland will head out to take on Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbus East, they will host Roncalli at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
