Basketball Recap: Murphy Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Murphy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Cordairus Dixon. The Murphy Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Central Falcons 65-21 thanks in part to Dixon, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Bryan Jackson, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Murphy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Murphy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-48 victory against Muscle Shoals on the 27th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-37 loss against Oak Mountain on the 27th.
