Centennial's last matchup with River Hill could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Eagles lost 8-1 to the Hawks. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Reichard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Centennial's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for River Hill, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Centennial and River Hill will both be playing Long Reach the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Lightning at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
