After flying high against Central Valley on Friday, Montour came back down to earth. The Spartans fell 7-2 to the Baldwin Highlanders on Monday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Montour saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Ivanoff, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Montour's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Baldwin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

While Montour had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
