USC added to its star-studded recruiting class Saturday as five-star wide receiver prospect
Amon-Ra St. Brown of
Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) committed to the program during the U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio.
St. Brown, who chose the Trojans over Notre Dame and Stanford among others, has been on quite a run over the past month or so.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound playmaker helped the Monarchs go 15-0 this season, winning section, state and national titles. St. Brown caught 72 passes for 1,320 yards and 20 touchdowns in just 12 games.
On Saturday, he caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from his high school teammate
JT Daniels with 9:13 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 10-10. He then proceeded to punt the ball into the stands. Shortly after that, St. Brown announced his decision live on national TV.
The Trojans now have pledges from eight of the Top 150 prospects in the
247Sports Composite, including Daniels, linebacker
