Basketball Recap: Silver Valley's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Silver Valley easily dispatched Baker two weeks ago, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Trojans fell just short of the Apple Valley Sun Devils by a score of 75-72 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 60-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Silver Valley lost, don't look at Javion Taylor. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 12 boards. Taylor has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Judah Caldwell, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Silver Valley fell to 2-1. As for Apple Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-2.

Silver Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-54 loss against Vasquez on the 3rd. As for Apple Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-42 victory against Hesperia Christian on the 4th.
