Volleyball Recap: Ola Takes a Loss

Ola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Lana Worsham and Makenna Fowler, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ashlyn Phillips and her 11 assists. She and Worsham didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Alexa Blackburn, who had nine digs and nine assists. Those nine digs gave Blackburn a new career-high.

Ola's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10-1 record this season.

Ola has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hampton on the 30th. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Union Grove on the 30th.
