While Mountain Island Charter's victory against Union Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raptors pulled ahead with a 28-27 photo finish over the Cardinals on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Raptors in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won seven in a row.

It was another big night for Aamir Gilcreast, who rushed for 158 yards and one TD while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Mountain Island Charter now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Union Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Island Charter will challenge Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
