Basketball Recap: Ben Lomond Takes a Loss

Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Grantsville Cowboys, falling 69-32. The Scots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Ben Lomond's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaerdan Vanbeekum, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points. Zeb Whetton was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Grantsville, they moved to 11-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Ben Lomond will challenge Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grantsville, they will square off against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
