Baseball Recap: O'Dea Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bishop Blanchet on Thursday, O'Dea came back down to earth. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Lincoln Lynx by a score of 5-4 on Friday. If the Fighting Irish were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Lynx when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

O'Dea's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lincoln, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Coming up, O'Dea will head out on the road to square off against Seattle Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will welcome Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lynx are facing the Roughriders at the right time seeing as the Roughriders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
