Basketball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Baker Gators, falling 69-37. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

AJ Chilton was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for Baker. Another player making a difference was Cole Hardin, who posted 13 points.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Baker, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Northview will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pensacola Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Baker, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against L.E.A.D. Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Baker is facing L.E.A.D. Academy at the right time seeing as L.E.A.D. Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
