Football Recap: Yorkville Starts off Right with Win over St. Patrick + How To Watch

Yorkville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the St. Patrick Shamrocks by a score of 14-7. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Foxes were the (much) better team in the second half.

Yorkville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but T.J. Harland led the charge by rushing for 76 yards and one score, while also picking up 62 receiving yards and one TD. Jack Beetham was another key signal caller, throwing for 196 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.2% of his passes.

Yorkville and St. Patrick should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Foxes will face off against Joliet West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (98 vs. 218). Meanwhile, St. Patrick (ranked 160th) will meet Larkin (ranked 327th) at 7:30 p.m. on the 6th.
