Midview and Steele are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Middies are taking a road trip to square off against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midview has given up an average of 31.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Midview is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 41 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Olmsted Falls on Friday. They took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Middies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 68th).

Despite the defeat, Midview had strong showings from Marcus McMahon, who rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown, and Brennen Newton, who gained 116 total yards. McMahon showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.

Meanwhile, Steele ended up a good deal behind North Ridgeville on Friday and lost 42-28. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Midview now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Steele, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Midview came up short against Steele in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 21-16. Thankfully for the Middies, Cole Norris (who rushed for 213 yards while picking up 10.1 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
