Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christ the King). They breezed past the Greater Cabarrus S Stallions to the tune of 74-17 on Thursday. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christ the King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Haynes, who posted 21 points and six boards. Claire Broda was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Christ the King was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Christ the King is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they dropped their record down to 7-21 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Christ the King has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Langtree Charter Academy on the 14th. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they will challenge Surry HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
