Football Recap: Chisholm Trail Starts Season with Victory Against Seagoville + How To Watch

Chisholm Trail gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 48-14 victory over the Seagoville Dragons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rangers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chisholm Trail to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devlin James, who rushed for 75 yards, and also caught one touchdown. William Quintana-Rodriguez was in the mix as well, providing the Rangers with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chisholm Trail was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Seagoville lost, don't look at Kollin Williams. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisholm Trail will venture away from home to square off against Mansfield Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seagoville, they will head out to take on White at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
