Football Recap: Judson Bailey Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alabama Christian Academy + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Houston Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 21-14 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Houston Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Judson Bailey, who threw for 131 yards and two TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Bailey a new career-high in passer rating (146.1). Daniel Guin was in the mix too, providing Houston Academy with two touchdowns.

Houston Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Brody Conner was the leader with three sacks. Jacob Wright was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles.

Houston Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Alabama Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houston Academy will head out to face off against Prattville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
