Soccer Recap: University Triumphs

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pine Ridge Panthers. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Titans were the better team in the second half.

University's record is now 10-4-1. As for Pine Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will host Lyman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyman will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something University surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pine Ridge, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Deltona at 5:30 p.m. Pine Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
