Palmetto has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lourdes Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Palmetto Panthers will welcome Lourdes Academy at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
On Friday, Palmetto got the win against Coral Park by a conclusive 16-3.
Lauren Falls made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Madeleine Baldwin was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Alicia Thomason, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Palmetto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lourdes Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Miami Springs a 19-0 shutout. Fans of Lourdes Academy have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Lourdes Academy got a massive performance out of Cristina Alfonso, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Alfonso is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Julia Lee was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Lourdes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palmetto hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .407. However, it's not like Lourdes Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .389. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
