Football Recap: Lanier Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Lanier had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 16-12 to the Norcross Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 29th).

Despite the defeat, Lanier saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Doyle Morrison picked up 113 receiving yards and one score.

Lanier didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-7 win against Mountain View on the 22nd. As for Norcross, they have also already played their next game, a 45-28 victory against Mill Creek on the 22nd.
