Basketball Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point lost against Chesapeake back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Point Pointers fell 53-41 to the Chesapeake Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Pointers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Panthers are ranked 85th).

This is the second loss in a row for South Point and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Chesapeake, their record is now 15-1.

South Point won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Green at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Chesapeake has already played their next game (against Dawson-Bryant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
