The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane won the last time they faced the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Friday too. Fitzgerald was the clear victor by a 50-24 margin over Jeff Davis. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.
Journy Scott was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. Anteneese Nixon was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The win made it two in a row for Fitzgerald and bumps their season record up to 13-11. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
Fitzgerald didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-28 victory vs. Cook on the 10th. Jeff Davis has also already played their next game, a 62-19 defeat against Sumter County on the 10th.
