Basketball Game Preview: Lambert Longhorns vs. South Forsyth War Eagles

The Lambert Longhorns will take on the South Forsyth War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lambert's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Lambert strolled past West Forsyth with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Wolverines are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Forsyth had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Alpharetta 67-52 on Tuesday.

Lambert's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.6 points per game. As for South Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Lambert was able to grind out a solid victory over South Forsyth when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 77-66. Does Lambert have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Forsyth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
