Football Recap: Lift for Life Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Valle Catholic

Lift for Life Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 48-34 victory over the Valle Catholic Warriors on Friday. 48 seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lift for Life Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jay'Veon Scott, who rushed for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. Phoenix Isaiah was another key signal caller, throwing for 180 yards and three TDs while completing 78.3% of his passes.

The victory (which was Lift for Life Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Valle Catholic, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Coming up, Lift for Life Academy will face off against Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Valle Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
