Softball Recap: Trinity Catholic Celtics vs. Father Lopez Green Wave

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Trinity Catholic had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Father Lopez Green Wave get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Celtics considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Caylee Barbe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rebecca LeFils, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
