Springfield has gone 9-1 against Mineral Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Springfield didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Lowellville by a score of 9-4 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mineral Ridge). They blew past Western Reserve 14-7 on Friday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

AJ Sandy was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Geddes, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Mineral Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Reserve struck out seven times.

Springfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Mineral Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
