The Glenn Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Glenn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Glenn turned things around against Mishawaka Marian on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Falcons not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 22-3).

Makinzie Kline was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Thomas, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run.
Glenn hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mishawaka Marian struck out nine times.
South Bend Riley hit Elkhart Christian Academy with a ten-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Elkhart Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Ehninger, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Elkhart Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Glenn, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Glenn has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Elkhart Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Glenn's way against Elkhart Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2015, as Glenn made off with a 16-8 victory. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
