Volleyball Recap: Orrville Wins Going Away Against Manchester

Orrville barely beat Manchester the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Riders put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The matchup marked the Red Riders' most dominant win of the season so far.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-21.

Maddison Kraft paced Orrville's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kraft got some help from Hannah Croskey and her 35 assists. Knorelle Hamilton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Manchester saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryley Wall had eight digs.

Orrville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Manchester, they moved to 3-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Orrville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Green on the 13th. As for Manchester, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 15th.
